I'm 16 and I know what I want to be in the future ever since I was 10. By the time I entered high school I was so disgusted with all the works because I've always planted the idea in my mind that I am not going to use any of them in the future or in my college. I hang out not with people my age and at some point, I become anti-social. The people that I consider as "friends" are the ones who share the same passion as I am. I am always so busy chasing my dream and looking forward to the future that I forgot that I'm still 16 and I've still got time to do it all, that right now all I have to do is chill and party and fall in love and be stupid. Enjoy my teenage years.
This song reminds me to hold on to 16.

im 15 yrs. old and ive been listening to billy joel for a year now i know him but i didnt know some of his songs and now im addicted to him. my 50 years old friend in facebook told me that her fave. artist is billy joel although im really a big fan of classic music i listen to beatles, bob marley , rolling stones , bob dylan so its really sucks that there is a name called justin bieber !!! by the way the music industry now is not that really sucks because there are some great artist like ingrid michaelson , jason mraz, jack johnson , john mayer , adele.

One thing I've noticed with modern music is that there is no depth to the lyrics anymore...it's all about the same thing. It sometimes feels like it's impossible for someone to write a song that has some soul...but then I listen to a song like this and realize that it is possible. I love this song and I love Billy Joel <3

i heard this song a few weeks ago, although it was not the original (honestly i still havent heard the original.). i was on youtube listening to one of my favorite artists, Ariana Grande. i had never heard her cover of this song before so i clicked. i was reading the reviews and new before i ever heard it that this is an amazing song. if you have heard Ariana's cover, you need to. it has a very heartfelt video that fits the song perfectly.
this song, to me, is just about taking time to stop and enjoy what you have. if you spend all your time chasing your goals, whatever they may be, you're going to take what is happening right now for granted. because, chances are, that when you get to the point at which you acheive whatever goal you are working so hardly at, it will be hard if not impossible to get back to the way things are now.
your Vienna will wait for you but right now wont. take time out to enjoy what is happening in your life and dont take it for granted cause it only comes around once.

I love this song! I also heard it for the first time on 13 Going on 30, but it's now one of my favorites. I tend to take on any project or task offered to me in order to get ahead, but at the end of the day I'm tired and I realize I'm losing friends. The lyrics of this song just reach out and grab me every time I hear it... I graduated from college last year at 18 and my whole life has been a whirlwind up to this point. I first heard this song at the time when I was deciding whether to apply to med school this year or wait until I'll be 20 -- I can't say that this is the only reason for the decision to wait, but it did make me think and I will now be spending a year volunteering at a free clinic in between trips around the world... Vienna is one of the first places I am going. :)

I just heard the song when I was watching the movie 13 going on 30, and it really touched my heart. I was a girl who wanted her freedom at any cost, without thinking what or who I was going to leave behind. When I saw the scene + the song...whooaa...it was just too many emotions in me, and I started to remember all my family and friends and all the good moments I was having and, after all, I didn't want them to be out of my life just because I didn't decide to enjoy those little moments of happiness. I just need to work out how to bring a bit of Billy Joel's breathtaking ability into the examination room with me. I'm always busy and traveling back and forth. I love this song and all types of songs like this. I think I love this era of the time this song was made more than any other.
