1.As D I went a G walking
one A morning in F#mi spring
I Hmi met with some Emi travellers
on an A old country D lane
D One was an G old man
the A second a F#mi maid
the Hmi third was a Emi young boy
who A smiled as he D said

R.:"With the G wind in the D willows
The G birds in the D sky
There`s a G bright sun to D warm us
wher Emi ever we A lie...
We D have bread and G fishes
and a A jug of red F#mi wine
To Hmi share on our Emi journey
with A all... of man D kind."

2.So I asked them to tell me
their names and their race
So I could remember
each smile on their face
"Our names, they mean nothing
They change troughout time
So come sit beside us
and share in our wine."

R

3.So I sat down beside them
with flowers all around
We ate from a mantle
spread out on the ground
They told me of prophets
and peoples and kings
And all of the one god
who knows everything
4."We`re travelling to Glaston
over England`s green lanes
To hear of men`s troubles
to hear of their pains
We travel the wide world
over land and the sea
To tell all the people
How they can be free...!"

R

5.So sadly I left them
on that old country lane
For I knew that I`d never
see them again
One was an old man
the second a maid
the third was a young boy
who smiled as he said...
