These are the wrong lyrics to Ye Banks and Braes. They really are: Ye banks and braes o' bonnie Doon,
how can ye bloom sae fresh & fair?
How can ye cahnt ye little birds and I sae weary fu' o' care.
Thou'llt break my heart thou warbling bird that wantons through the flow'ry thorn.
Thou minds me o' departedd joys, departed never to return.
Aft hae I roved by bonnie Doon,
to see the rose and woodbine twine,
and ilka bird sang o' its love and fondly sae did I o' mine.
Wi' light some heart I pu'd a rose fu' sweet upon its thorny tree.
And my fause lover stoll the rose but ah! he left the thorn wi' me.
Then there's a descant part which
