Raining In Me (Unreleased)

I’m back in downtown Baton Rouge
Where no one seems to live
And I tried to hear my phone
But I could only hear the wind
Trash cans rolled around the parking lot
Like someone getting hit
And dying buildings stood there crying
Because they new that this was it
And the rhythm of the interstate
Was just a section of the symphony

And I guess I came to play
Sing some songs I’ve never sang
I’m walking through a brainstorm
Oh, I guess I lost my way
Seems everything is changing
I just hope it don’t stop raining in me, in me

Felt the drizzle of a memory
That I can’t quite remember
The sun became embarrassed, started crying
He must have a long day
Over-towered by opinion
Over powered by the darkness, just to spite him

And the thunder was the sound of wars
Echoed justice of our enemies
And the clouds were just the smoke trails
From the fires of the battles
I’m walking through a brainstorm
Down the same long road they traveled
Seems everything is changing
But I just hope it don’t stop raining in me, in me, in me, in me

Then the sun came out, revealing me
Like a spotlight of reality
Felt the wind blow through my clothes
Heaven only knows
If I’ll ever feel the way I feel right now again
Seems everything is changing
I just hope it don’t stop raining on, don’t stop raining in
I just hope it don’t stop raining in me
