Haste The Day

When Everything Falls

I can see it comin’ on the horizon
Sky turning black, it’s raining down
Can’t move my feet, cannot be shaken
Not movin’, I’m standing strong

I’m standing so firm
I can’t be moved
I’m standing so firm
I can’t be moved

I will stand
I will stand
When everything falls away
I will fight this war forever
Or until I die
I will stand
I will stand
When everyone falls away
I will fight this war forever
Or until I die

All these things coming against me
I have the choice to fall or fight
I cannot be moved
You gave me the strength
Help me fight, help me fight

I’m standing so firm
I can’t be moved
I’m standing so firm
I can’t be moved

I will stand
I will stand
When everything falls away
I will fight this war forever
Or until I die
I will stand
I will stand
When everyone falls away
I will fight this war forever
Or until I die (x4)

And I’m standing so firm
On this ground you’ve sat before me
I’ll fight for this with my last breath
I’ll fight for this until I die
I can’t be moved (while refrain plays in background).

Great :) | Reviewer: Jezzy | 6/22/11

I like this so much :) I like the fact that they are a Christian metal band and leaving it open-ended so other people can listen to it not only Christians. Where I live, most people would just hear the screaming and think it's some dark song or whatever. Like my mom, when I was playing a August Burns Red song, she was like "What are you listening to?!" I told her its a Christian metal band but shes like "Hmph! What kind of Christians play that kind of music with screaming?" Geez mom, let them be theyre devoted and serving God in their own ways

awesome | Reviewer: Anonymous | 5/27/11

alot of people talk trash about this kind of songs they think this song is from the devil but God made the music. like i say it is not the music its the lyrics of the songs that will help you or destroy you.

Would all of you, Please, SHUT THE HELL UP. Its good music. Point there. I'm not Christian, I listento the music because its good, not because it talk abouts god and faith. I beleive thats all a bunch of bull. Listen to the music and shut up.

"any day.. | Reviewer: Anonymous | 7/24/09

i would listen to this band(and christian metal in general) over any other death metal or black metal or w\e the crap you wanna say...
i would much rather listen to this, than some song that talks about, suicide, drugs, sex, money (maybe thats just rap, idk), being drunk in an alley, or anything of the sort...call it stereotyping, but i still have yet to listen to a single song from any band that isn't christian that doesn't talk about that crap.."

are you for real? Stone Sour, Slipknot, Eyes Set To Kill, In This Moment, Godsmack, Mudvayne, Lamb of God, Five Finger Death Punch, Motograter, Ghost Machine? I would first like to note that though there are songs by some of these bands about suicide, they in no way glorify it, in fact 99% of all songs about suicide by whatever band you would like to discuss points to the contrary, stating that suicide is not a worthwhile endeavor. you may not appreciate these bands but they have numerous songs that aren't about any of the aforementioned subjects, There are plenty "non-christian" bands out there that have good messages, but then again who is to say they are "non-christian" just because they do not sing about it doesn't mean they are not and, likewise just because some choose to sing about it doesn't mean they are, you have to realize at some point whether it "speaks" to you or not, these people love music, and that's why they do what they do...that's my $.02

Good Song | Reviewer: Anonymous | 1/13/10

I believe Haste the Day, which is a %100 christian band, left the lyrics open-ended for a reason. They do not want to be the bullhorn guy (watch numa) who throws the christian message into everyones face. God would not want that...

Umm... | Reviewer: Landon | 1/6/10

And cody, from the second page who said he was "somewhat Christian"....theres no such thing. its all or nothing bud. If you consider yourself "somewhat Christian", then you're not Christian at all because its not about beliefs. It's about a legit relationship with God and following after Him with every aspect of your life.
Christians have a bad rep because humans have distorted it to where it means practically nothing to throw out "I'm a Christian".

Do me and everyone else who's pursuing God a favor please.
Don't claim it if you don't live it.

Obvious? | Reviewer: Landon | 1/6/10

It seems pretty obvious to me that HTD isn't talking about war or anything like that. They're talking about being the one to "stand" or hold true to their faith through word and action, no matter what the world or anyone else does.
It's an amazing and extremely encouraging song for me because I see people who claim to be Christians and don't hold on to their fath and it makes me want to be the one who stands "when everything/everyone falls away." Everything=worldly things like materialism, reputation, and having a "good life". The only thing that will matter is whether you stood or fell.
As for Christian metal not being as good as secular metal....have you ever heard of Living Sacrifice, As I Lay Dying, or August Burns Red? They have tons of respect from all the secular artists because of their music and their bold stands they take.

well im not going to get involed in all you pathetic argument, this is why the world is like it is [ at war ] but i love haste the day. 1 of my fav bands and this song sounds to me like one of them is in the army and hes about to fight his enemy...

Awsome | Reviewer: Michael | 9/19/09

Awsome song I am religious myself but didn't care for christian music. Music is a gift given to someone no matter what shape or form it is in. While singing about suicide might not be your cup of tea at least they have found a way to vent those thoughts and turn it into art instead of acting on those impulses. For the religious out there remember god works in mysterious ways. I am an artist myself often I am faced with situations that seem some times beyond my control but I use my skill in the arts to vent my frusterations. So I appreciate all forms and see the good in them not the bad.
