Desperate Housewives was always one of my favorite shows, which obviously put a lot of pressure on it to have a satisfying finale, even though we all admit we'd rather have the show go on...

Love and miss Desperate Housewives. The part in the finale with this song playing was brilliant on the part of the show, and I cry every time I watch the tape. Heard the song years ago, but now it is one of my favorites from the 50s, recorded the year I was born. I'll always miss my Sunday night ritual watching those desperate housewives and the memories of this "Wonderful, Wonderful" song being played during the finale.

I was lucky enough to have grown up with Johnny Mathis' music. I've always loved vocal music and his technique was superb. I too heard it on DHs and have been crying ever since. Glad to read about similar reactions. I don't know why they chose that song in particular, but it sure was powerful.

I had forgotten how much I loved this song and the smooth sound of Johnny Mathis voice until it was at the ending of Desperate Housewives finale. I had the show recorded on my DVR and kept playing it over and over. Who ever thought of the idea to tie in all the characters of the show was fabulous. It has so much meaning and made me cry. I miss the beautiful love songs of the past era. This is a gorgeous song.

All these kinds of songs predated my time but I am not fervently listening to the 50's - and Johnny Mathis is a god-man who was born to sing. God bless this angel of voice who is an icon and a deliver or soul and feeling. Have you listened to his other songs - Someone, Small World, Misty, Too much too little too late with the divine Ms. Neicy - a sheer taste of heaven.
