Meet You in the End

I stop myself from following strangers
Whose deep eyes try to wrap me in their dangers;
Like the turning of the sky from cloud to clear,
I stop myself from wishing you were here.

But what you see is what you get,
And I bet you'll find a way in…
And it takes so long to outrun the skeletons
That only meet you in the end.

How I wish that you were here -
I'd hold you in my arms.
And I know that it's a foolish dream,
But I'm holding on.

They only meet you in the end -
Try to run if you can.

I close my eyes and wait behind the crowd
That laughs along the way to Everlasting Life;
Just one more step and I'm back at the start -
Just one more backtrack and I move into your light.

But what you see is what you get,
And I bet you'll find a way in…
Oh it takes so long to outrun the skeletons
That only meet you in the end.

How I wish that you were here -
I'd hold you in my arms.
I know that it's a foolish dream
But I'm holding on.

They only meet you in the end -
You can try to run if you can.
And I know that it's a foolish dream,
But I'm holding on…
I'm holding on…
Let's start all over again.
