This is in response to Bob's question. The late Terry Kath sang the first and last verses in the song. There is a video of him on Youtube singing it during New Years Eve 1975 if you want to check it out. The Beach Boys were also lending a hand on the original track and in the video.

wishing you were here is a great american classic. the song makes you wish that it was a little longer. however not many realize that the beach boys are the background vocals.

Who is singing the first second and last verse? It is obvious the Peter sings the middle segment.
