Barenaked Ladies

Too Little Too Late

Dĺžka piesne: 03:24
Throughout the rest of the songs, here are the voicings of
the chords I'm using. These names aren't entirely correct,
but deal with it, they're close enough.
For a lot of the verses, you just use the first part of
the main riff, like this. We'll call this, riff 1!
Repeat as necessary to fill the beats in the verse.

And during the Chorus, Ed does some low string pulls off
that are something like this. Not exactly, but close enough.
If you're playing this on acoustic, just skip out on this,
it sounds really neat with the full band, but kinda weak alone.
This will be Riff 2.

He also does a little walkdown from the C to the G in the chorus,
but I'm sleepy,
so you get to figure that out yourself. Enjoy!
That covers it. On with the song:
Main Riff followed by Riff 1
VERSE 1:
G (riff 1)
You say "Why does everything revolve around you?"
G (riff 1)
You say "Why does everything I do confound you?"
G (riff 1) G6/B Csus2
You say that I pulled the world from under you,
You can't go through it this time
CHORUS:
G (riff 2) D C G D
I could be good and I would - If only I was understood
G(Riff 2) D C G/B
And it'll be great, just wait - Or is it too little too late
END CHORUS
Main riff
VERSE 2:
Main Riff
One day, this embarrassment will fade behind me.
Main Riff
And that day, I could think of things that don't remind me.
Riff 1 G6/B Csus2
But these days, it's unbearable for both of us,
We can't discuss it this way, this way
I'm gaining strength, trying to learn to pull my own weight
I'm gaining pounds at the precipice of Too Late Just wait
REPEAT CHORUS
LITTLE INSTRUMENTAL SECTION
Main Riff Riff 1 G6/B Csus2 G6/B A7 B7
BRIDGE
Record and Play after years of endless rewind
Yesterday wasn't half as tough as this time
This time isn't hell Last time, couldn't tell
This time wasn't well Next time, hope I'm
REPEAT CHORUS x 2
Main Riff
End on G

That should cover it.
