Alan Dawa Dolma

my friend

Why, when at night the sound of rain strikes the windows, it reminds me of you?
I can almost hear your warm, friendly voice

Sleeping, unfinished and inside my drawer is the letter I tried to write to you
I'm doing well now, so I want it to be perfect

I have a home to return to and people to welcome me back
And the people I call my friends have supported me

Anytime I reminisce, I think of you, my irreplaceable friend
Maybe I changed since the time I always leaned on you
I'm so glad I met you, I honestly am glad
And I wait for the day that we can meet once again

Whether it was laughing about absurd things, or just agreeing with me
That saved me when my heart was low, so thank you

Surely our bond will never break even though the distance between us is great
Because we are living at the same time, under the same sky

Anytime I reminisce, I think of you, my precious friend
Don't worry about me, because I don't need any complaints
I would like to preserve what makes me, me
And tomorrow will come, so I continue to walk

Anytime I reminisce, I think of you, my irreplaceable friend
Maybe I changed since the time I always leaned on you
I'm so glad I met you, I honestly am glad
And I wait for the day that we can meet once again
